How do you get a link from a picture?

How do I get a picture in my "standard Yahoo!" profile or link Yahoo!360 to my profile so IT REALLY WORKS?

  • I have tried to link my profile to Yahoo!360 by following previously posted answers, but it doesn't work. I have tried to change my standard image on http://profiles.yahoo.com/levseltzer, but since Yahoo Photos is closed, I can't upload the image. What can I do TODAY? I don't want to wait for the new unified profile system. I just want to get a photo available with just one click.

    1) Sorry, you will not be able to do this TODAY. You will have to be patient and wait for the new system likely. "So- many of you wonder why you cannot update a Yahoo! Profile from a Flickr account. The short answer is, it was never designed to do that. It's confusing because Profiles photos were updated from Yahoo! Photos, and of course Y! Photos is in the process of shutting down. For US based Y! Photos users, it has shut down already. So here is what happens: You try to change the Profiles photo, then you are prompted to upload a photo from your computer. Unfortunately, that used to go to Photos, and it's still not been altered to not do that. So, when it redirects you to Photos, you get a note about Photos being closed and a suggestion on using Flickr for your photo uploading needs. But, the big problem is we at Flickr can't fix this. The folks at Y! Profiles and Membership know about the issue, they definitely know. But, unfortunately we don't have an estimated time of when this will be finally fixed, we are sorry. We know some of you who have created accounts are angry about this- we understand. We wish we could fix it from here or cause it be fixed a lot faster." - said Flickr here: http://flickr.com/help/forum/en-us/56845/ . 2) You will only be able to provide a link to your Y!360 profile via your Yahoo! Answers profile. I see you have done that and it is all you can do. If someone tries to access your 360 profile by clicking your "Profile" link in any other Yahoo service it MAY NOT work. They MAY be directed to your plain Yahoo! Members Profile Page. You can change your 360 settings, so that in the slim chance that this issue is fixed, the setup will be correct. OR for the chance that you don't have this issue at all. NOTE: YAHOO IS NO LONGER FIXING 360 BUGS. But you can still see instructions on how to adjust your Y!360 settings in my answer to a previously, asked question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhJl.mrFER6RnZ7x5gyR4APty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071001133902AAv9f5n Again, this is another issue where you will not be able to do this TODAY (with exception of adding a link to your 360 in your Y/A profile). You will have to be patient and wait for the new system likely. UPDATE: By the way, if you are trying to add a Flickr photostream to your 360 space (i.e. the "Share Photos" module on the right of the Top Page), it will NOT work either. See another previous answer here - http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvplMvCsLYkY_.wAR9cQPzHty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071008182424AA4TO06 - which explains this and provides a link to instruction on how to add images in your blog instead. You can add up to 4 images in your personal profile pic area (Top Page - left side), but be warned ...it's a buggy module too.
