How do I delete profile 2.0 and change it back to 1.0?

How do I delete my old avatar?

I'm having trouble deleting my old avatar. In personal photos in says add your avatar. It doesn't talk about deleting the old one. I try remove it but I can't. How do I do it? that won't make it go away, it will just make it come back for more...... I have already edited my profile----10 times, and it doesn't change the view of my deleted avatar
