Xbox 360, question regarding hdmi cable.?

  • i have an xbox 360 that i purchesed earlier this year. it has worked great but about 2 weeks ago the video stopped showing up when i turned on the xbox. the audio worked fine but no video. so i borrowed a 360 from a friend and tried his xbox with my audio video cords and it did not work, then i tried my xbox with his audio video cables and it did not work. sooo it seems to me that both the audio video chord and the 360 do not work. So recently another friend told me a bout an hdmi cable and how it does not use the video cables, so i gave it a try and bought the hdmi cable. sooo after i plugged everything in correctly i turned on the xbox only to find my audio to work again but this time the screen on my hdtv screen to say unauthorized video (or something like that). What do you think i should do? send in my xbox or buy ANOTHER new set of audio video cables?? thanks for any answers.

nonoonoono!!!!!!! its not broken!!!! on your original xbox 360 audio video cables there should be a switch that says tv, hdmi. fiddle with it, its one or the other. make sure your tv is also on the right setting. i hope i helped

Make sure you have the correct input on the 360 selected...have you taken your XBOX360 and YOUR HDMI cable and plugged into your friends TV?
