Why is it called xbox 360?

  Thank God i only got the red ring of death once and the game store repair shop ungraded it to a better model and since then i have not had a problem with it.From what i remember they called it a 360 because the graphics were obviously better and did a 360 around the original Xbox.Also they didnt want to copy Playstation and call it the Xbox 2.Another working title i heard was called NextBox i believe? i could be wrong.When i first got the red ring of death that song "Ring Of Fire" by Johnny Cash popped in my head "And it Burns,Burns,Burns...The Ring Of Death" I changed the last part HA! I also have a PS3 i bought 4 months ago and i play that more often right now and gave my 360 a break,I still like 360 for certain games ONLY made for the system but the other games i usually get for PS3.Dead Rising was one of the best games for the 360
