    Only questions that are open can be removed by the asker. Underneath your question is a pencil with the word EDIT next to it. Click on the pencil, and either three or four tabs will pop down, and one will read DELETE QUESTION. You click on that, and it's done. You can only delete questions if they are open. If the questions you want to delete are closed or in voting, the only way for them to be removed is by Yahoo! removing them. There are two options to notify Yahoo! about closed or unresolved questions that you would like to have deleted: Option one would be to report the question, and have Yahoo! remove it that way. The asker cannot report their own questions, however, so this is where it gets difficult. If it *does* get reported by another user, it’s, it's up to the Yahoo! Answers team to decide whether the question is deletion-worthy, or if it violates the guidelines. So, it may take a while to remove resolved questions. Option two would be to drop Yahoo! an e-mail, and asking them to remove your question, as you do not want it on the site anymore. You can drop the Yahoo! Answers team an e-mail here: [email protected] (the omitted E in 'answers' is intentional). Be aware, though, that they might not remove your question for a while, or even at all. Try both, but if they do not work, then your question will remain on the site until Yahoo! finally decides to say vamoose to the question. How long that will take is anybody’s guess. Good luck!

You can only delete questions which are still OPEN for answers, by going to each question and choosing delete from the edit drop-down box. If you'd rather not have people be able to see your old resolved questions, there is an option to make your questions and answers private somewhere in your profile or account options. Many people have chosen to have their stuff private. To delete your profile I don't know how, but you could simply make your Q&A private, and change your profile name to something different, set it so no one can IM or email you, and not use the account again.

You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway). You can also email Yahoo Customer services at [email protected] or [email protected] and ask for them to delete the question for you. In your email include the link to the question you want deleted, explain why you want it deleted and ask them to delete it for you To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click on Delete Question. DELETING QUESTIONS: You can only delete open questions. Questions with the status of "Resolved" or "In Voting" can't be deleted by you, as they are the property of Yahoo and only the company can delete them at that point. You can try contacting Yahoo! Answers Staff at [email protected] to ask for those types of questions to be removed. Send them the URL of the question. They will do so at their discretion though. For open question deletion, click on your avatar on the far left (or right) corner of most Yahoo Answers pages OR click on the "My Profile" link on the far, upper right corner of the page. This takes you to your Y/A profile page. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see tabs. The "My Questions" tab shows questions you've asked. Clicking link for the open question will take you to the question page, where you can click on the pencil icon to choose the delete option. NOTE: Making your questions and answers private only applies to your Yahoo! Answers profile. They are still visible via the site categories and search engine results. You just go to your actual question and hit "delete", but you can't delete resolved questions. If you want to change your avatar, upload a different pic.
