How do i fix my xbox 360?

How do i fix my 2 red lights on xbox 360?

  • ok so my xbox showed me 3 rings about a month ago ive tried turning it off and on throughout the month finally today i turned it on and it only showed me 2 red lights with is better then 3 i know that 2 red lights means overheating but how can that be when its been cooling for a month now? i tryed calling microsoft for help which they were no help (no surprise there) and my warranty is up so i have to pay for the repair i dont hace the money...so i took apart my xbox(twice) the first time it was really dusty so i cleaned out the console really well and the fans and such and put it back together it still didnt work so i opened it back up and nothing seems to be wrong...finally i noticed that my power brick was making a strange grinding sound and then would cut off after 3 seconds also none of my fans run at all when i turn on my xbox except for the grinding in my power brick i need help?
