How do you upload a picture onto y!a?

I have tried to load a 360 picture to my YA 3 times already, and I have a Q about it?

• I have tried 3 times to get my avatar to be my 360 picture. I set it as primary, save, go to my YA profile, click "use my 360 picture", save, and every time I am just the dumb gray shadowhead for a week. After you save the 360 picture in your 360, and go to your YA profile, there are 3 options: use the gray shadowhead, use your 360, and use your yahoo avatar. Since I have already saved my 360 picture in my 360, shouldn't it show up in the 360 box option on my YA profile? It has never shown, the 360 box in my profile is the shadow everytime. Since it never shows anything but the shadow, does that mean that I shouldn't bother waiting for a week? Is that how I know in advance if it is working, if it takes into the 360 option box in my profile right away? I don't want to wait a week every time if there is a way I can know right away if it "took" or not. Sorry if this is confusing, thanks in advance.

  The 3 options are to use no picture, use a 360 image, or the Yahoo! Avatar. The gray unisex icon represents having no image and sometimes the 360 image when the system doesn't recognize your changes right away. It sometimes take days (and for some people, weeks) for the system to recognize a 360 image as a Y/A picture. So, in the meantime, you will have the unisex icon as your Y/A picture. Just go through the process and let your picture stay that way until the Y/A system makes your 360 image appear. Making continual changes, instead of just leaving your profiles on the proper settings will slowdown this process. If you don't want to wait, then just use a Yahoo! Avatar (http://avatars.yahoo.com ) and forget about trying to get the 360 image feature to work. Make sure that the Yahoo ID that you use for 360 is the same one that you use for Y/A, or else this feature will never work for you. Even with all the correct settings, some people never see an image show up. This link between Y/A and Y!360 has been buggy for years.
