I stopped talking to my friend because she supposedly started becoming very religious in Islam.I stopped talking to her because she started bragging about how she have a harley,a house n how religious she is...and how im jealous of her dat is why i dun wanna be friends with her.yesterday she wrote about me in her blog, stating how i dun support her religion n wrote all kinds of nasty **** about me...so i confronted her about it n told her to leave me alone. Is there anyway friendster can pull out for slandering my name n writing lies about me in her friendster blog?

Answer:
If what she wrote about could be considered "Slanderous" or "Deformation of Character", then yes, you could take legal action. You would, however, need legal advice to determine if the action was a reasonable one, and to assist you in the action. You have a legal right to report "Slander" and "Deformation of Character" to the police. I do not know how seriously they will take it though. With regard to Legal Advice, the cost would probably be excessive, especially if you lost. I do not know your respective age(s), but if the person who did this is living at home, reporting "abusive conduct" to a responsible parent can be a good measure. It would be easy to prove, as it is on the INTERNET, for everyone to see, right? I HATE TO GIVE ADVICE, but it would be, "If you can live with it, it is probably better to let it go." THINGS GO AWAY, ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM. If you can not live with it, than only you can make the choice. EITHER WAY, expressing your dissatisfaction over the way someone misuses the media is never wrong. It may even make them think twice, next time . . . "MOBBING", even in the media, is considered illegal . . . (if I recollect properly . . . ) THE INTERNET IS NOT A PLACE TO HIDE FROM LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY. IT WOULD SEEM, THOUGH, THAT THE SYSTEM HAS NOT YET CAUGHT UP WITH ALL THE RAMIFICATIONS OF IT AS YET.
