How do I set up Xbox Live on my Xbox 360?

How can i set up my Xbox 360 to Xbox live...?

  • well in a few days iam going to be getting live. i have a few questions on how to get it set up... i heard about a wireless connection using a wireless router... right now my computer has a modem and a wireless router for my dads laptop... and i cant run a cable through the wall and too my room, cause of the thick walls... so i thought of the wireless route, so my question is can i buy a wireless router and use the ethernet cable to plug in to my 360?... the one i was looking at is a NETGEAR RP614... would that work?... or can anyone tell me another one that is kinda cheap?.. PLEASE get some info for me =)

    if you go wireless you have to buy the adapter for the 360 also. i got a wireless adapter for mine, but if something else is using your wireless device it can slow it down. i prefer just having mine connected with an ethernet cord. if your dad has a wireless router you can just run a cord from that. you may have to get some ethernet extenders so it'll reach around to your room, but it'll look tacky with a cord running across your house.

Well microsoft studios has developed its own wireless connector but that can be bought for around 80 dollars. Netgear rp614 is actually a router that uses LAN(Local Area Connection) and xbox live uses Live
