HELP ME ON MY XBOX 360?

Help, and information on xbox 360 live account?

  • hi, i made a xbox 360 live account on my pc here at this website: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/default.htm anyways i finally got a hard-drive for my xbox 360, and i had to make some-kind of profile with a avatar, anyways i try to join xbox live on my 360 but it wants me to setup an account, then choose a membership, create your gamer profile, and pick your gamer picture. so i (A) to go on (this is on my 360) it asks for my email i give it to them. then it says that "this is a existing windows live id. enter you password to use it for xbox live." so i do but then it says that "this windows live id is associated with a different gamer-tag. enter another windows live id and password." so my question is why cant i use the id i made online on my pc for the xbox 360, if i can how do i do that, also if not what should i do? thanks for the info and the help, and sorry about the spelling...

    recover the gamertag to do that you have to sign out completely go move to the bubble that says sign and all the way to right to find it and enter your previous gamertag and your id stuff and wal la you have it
