How can I delete my avatar?

I have been really really trying to delete my avatar because it's lame and I don't want it popping up every time I send emails. It is proving impossible. A few times I did manage to hit to the 'Delete my Avatar' button but then when I tested it by sending an email, it still shows up... it's just not cool.

Go to this link http://avatars.yahoo.com/ Under your avatar it will show what you are wearing with a check mark Uncheck all then click save changes it will leave you with the original avatar Then click preferences & click delete my avatar*
