How do I get rid of this section on my profile?

How do i get rid of someones profile from the updates section when you first log on to your yahoo?

• i asked a random girl to be a connection on my profile on accident and now i dont know how to delete that request! how do you do that? I also dont want to keep seeing all these people that this person has become connected with when she isnt one of my connections. i dont know her i dont have her email and im tired of looking at all her updates! How do i get rid of that to?

  You can't revoke an invitation that's been sent. Invitations remain active for 180 days unless they’re accepted or ignored. By sending the invitation, you began receiving the person's PUBLIC updates, which can't be halted. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/profiles/updates/upcom-15.html for details. If she accepts the invitation, then you can remove her as a connection via the instructions here to at least stop receiving her "connection-only" updates: http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/prof/prof/prof_connect6.html and http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/profiles/connections/upcomcon-18.html . I think it's terrible that you can't stop receiving public updates from anyone who isn't a Connection.
