How to get more people to follow a blog?

• I have had a blog for about the past 6 months and only have people follow it who know me.It's purpose isn't really to talk about my life,but about music and how it sometimes relates to life in general.That being said,I think my blog could be related to anyone,so anyone could follow it....not just one type of person.I want to know some good ways to get more people interested in my blog(since that's what I've wanted from the start),and get more people to follow.I don't want to self advertise and seem like I'm full of myself,but I would like more people to follow,not only for my benefit,but for theirs also.I think a lot of people would be interested in what I post. Anyone know of any ways to make more people follow my blog,without seeming like a tool,or asking for attention?
