What is a permalink on Flickr and what do you do with it?

Flickr question! PLEASE HELP!?

• ok so like i got flickr pro a couple days ago and im a bit confused with flickr stats. i put links of my flickr on my facebook and other sites/blogs and i want to know how many people actually view my photostream by clicking those links. how do i do so? because all i see is referrers and i guess those are places that led the viewer to my photostream? im not sure but i also see domain and "flickr.com" is the only thing in that catagory so idk if the viewers to my photostream are only from flickr? because everytime i put up a link to my flickr on facebook, i see the photostream view counter go up like 8 times but im not sure if that's really from the link that i put on facebook or from just regular viewers on flickr? someone please help me!! thanks [:

  Here's a link to the Flickr stats FAQ - http://www.flickr.com/help/stats/ I'm not sure it helps much in your case. The referrer stat should tell you where the hit came from - whether it's internal (from Flickr) or from a blog or Facebook etc. The stats will only work with external hits going to either your photostream or to your photo pages - if you've linked directly to a different size option (large, small etc) and not to the photo page then Flickr won't register it. I'd add that you're *required* by the Flickr TOS (that's the crap we all skip over when we first sign up) to link to your photopage - so you *might* have to change the URL link you've used so that you can - a) see the stats b) keep on the good side of Flickr and not have your account deleted ;o( (a very rare thing- so don't worry) I'm not (contrary to some accusations here) Flickr Staff, if you want confirmation please ask the same question (with as much detail as possible) in the Flickr Help Forum.
