  Sadly, you can not transfer mp3 music or video or anything to the xbox360 HDD. The only way to store music on your Xbox 360 HDD is to rip them off of the CD. Which means you have to put the original music CD in the Xbox CD/DVD drive and rip the music track from there. Microsoft assume all mp3 music on usb sticks or mp3 players are illegally owned, so they will not allow possible pirated material to be stored/transfer to the xbox360 HDD. Likewise, music, movies and downloaded contents inside the Xbox 360 can not be transfered out to USB memory sticks or USB data drives. You can still play the mp3 from the usb stick or mp3 player on the Xbox 360 and listen to them when you are playing xbox 360 games, you just can't store them on the Xbox 360. To rip music from a CD to an Xbox 360 Hard Drive, follow these steps: 1. Start the Xbox 360 console without a disc in the disc tray. 2. Put a music CD in the disc tray, and then close the disc tray. 3. The Music Player starts automatically. Select Rip CD. By default, all the tracks on the CD are selected. If you do not want to copy all the tracks, manually select the tracks that you want to rip. 4. Select Rip CD to complete the ripping process. You can modify the album information if the information is not automatically updated. You can also modify the song information as you rip the music files. Note *** When you rip music from a CD, the music files are stored in the Microsoft Windows Media Audio as (.wma) format (not mp3 format) on the Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
