How do I remove the Profile and Feeds sections from My Page?

How do i remove the Reviews, Feed, etc. boxes from my 360 profile?

  • i want my page to look a little cleaner like some of the other 360 pages i see. how do i remove the Feeds and Review boxes from my profile? 360 offers no solutions for this and it is getting annoying.

  • Answer:

When you click on the "My Page" link in your 360, you are looking at the EDIT view of your space. That perspective is only for you. Everyone else sees your page without white boxes (in terms of modules that are without any content). Yet if you have added content to those areas, you can remove the content that you've added AND/OR hide the modules from others by choosing the "Just Me (Private)" permission on each module's "Settings" page. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/permissions/index.html for more information on permissions. To see what your page visitors see, click on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page". Choose a permission group and click the "Go" button. There is an exception - if you don't put any information in the profile information module - then people will see a box that states that you have no profile information. As for modules that contain content that you've added and that you want to keep visible, you can create a customized background where the module background (or other areas) have a transparent background, allowing your background to show through those modules. After logging into 360, click on the "My Page" link next to your "Home" link. Then, at the top under that line of links is the word "Theme: [name of whatever theme you currently have]." Click the "Change Theme" link that's directly under those words. If you HAVE WORKED with the custom theme window before: Click the "Edit Custom Theme" link toward the top left of your "My Page." On the new page that comes up, there's a paragraph stating "Select a Theme - Change the look of your Yahoo! 360° page by picking a theme. Click "Apply Theme" to make the change." Directly under that click a link called "Customize Your Theme." A new "Customize Your Theme" window will pop up where you can insert .jpg images as well as customize colors. Scroll down in the popup window, past the upload image part, to get to where you can change colors. You can type the word - transparent - instead of a color code, so that your background shows through. OR you can just click on the little box next to the right of the item and select the transparent option in the color box. Click the "Save" button in the popup to enable your changes.
