Can you use an Xbox wireless adapter as a wireless router?

Can i use a wireless adapter on my new xbox 360 slim?

• My bedroom is located directly above router but iv had to change bedroom temporarily till mine gets refurbished and the xbox and router are now roughly 30-40 foot away, and cannot connect. I was wondering if I could use a wireless adapter to connect the two pieces of hardware again. But will the black Microsoft wireless adapter for the xbox (one with the 2 ariels) reach 30-40 foot to the router? as i previously had the white adapter on my old 360 and it was very low signal or no signal... many thanks to who ever answers.

  No, you cannot. However, the xbox 360 slim has wireless built into it so if your router is a wireless router, you may connect wirelessly. If it is wireless, but the router is too far away, you can connect a laptop to your xbox360 and your xbox360 can use your laptop's wireless capability. You'll need to create a network bridge between your ethernet port and your laptop's wireless card. You then connect your laptop to the wireless router wirelessly and connect your laptop to your xbox360 using an ethernet cord. If all fails, I would simply suggest purchasing a long ethernet cord.
