Where does Yahoo blog screwed up?

Does the Yahoo! Pulse (blog) have an RSS feed? How can I link my Pulse blog to Facebook?

  • When I used the Yahoo! 360 blog feature, I had an RSS feed that I could give to others for their blog readers (like "My Yahoo!"). But now that it's Yahoo! Pulse, it doesn't seem to have RSS support. And I can't find a distinct URL to post on Facebook, in e-mail, etc. It would be nice to write a blog entry and have it show up on my Facebook wall, and available as an RSS feed to anyone using an RSS reader.

  • Answer:

If you are on your Pulse Blog page, there is the orange RSS feed button towards the bottom right side (under your blog article list). If you click it on, the feed URL comes up and you can use that. Also, just before you publish a blog article, you will see the share Facebook button underneath all the boxes on the posting page. Click the Facebook button on to share. If you edit your article, the buttons don't show again, it is a one time thing. If you click the link below, you will be on the main Pulse landing page (like the former 360 Blast). If you go to your blog, just click the "home button" on the top left sidebar. You will see the add link for Facebook and twitter right under the blast box. There is also a link to connect your FB account to your Pulse account but I have noticed that it is there sometimes and not there other times but it might depend on the browser you are using. I do believe, if you fill this out, anything you add to your Pulse will appear on FB. Put your permalink (open your article, permalink is on the bottom right of your article) to your Pulse blog article in the box and click off FaceBook. If you update or change a past article, this is a good idea to do to reshare. I do not know if they work or not as I have not tried it but it may help you. An alternative may be to put the feed URL in your Google Reader, make it public, and then send the link out from there. Hope that helps. Good luck. (edited to add some more direct detail)
