Why don't I get sound out of my Xbox?

I hookup my xbox 360 up to my hd tv and i dont get any sound.. why?

    this also happened to mine. what i did to solve the problem is the following: first i checked the wires. the yellow one in the yellow spot the red one in the red spot and the white with white. of course check out that it says video and audio where you place the wires. ok. after that the problem still was there on my tv there was no sound. so i changed to the next chanel and there problem solved. the reason is that one channel i think is for the other part of the cable where there is a blue colored wire... those you dont have to use. just use the red white and yellow cables. hook them up on your tv and then put source on your control like if you where going to watch the dvd channel ok.

make sure the 2 volume cables are in...

video cables are yellow (even your s cable)and they are prolly connected check your audio cables red/white make sure they are going out of 360 into monitor ......good luck just remember you always have cables going out of main (360)source then into another source(360)....

do you have to hit a button on the remote or on the side of the t.v. to change the sound from t.v. to video ???

check all the red white and yellow plugs maybe one of tthem r screwy or just maybe turn the sound up maybe the tv is bad too or just get new plugs
