How do I make a Yahoo 360 page?

How do I make my Yahoo 360 page not show up at all on Yahoo without deleting it completely?

  • Everything is set to friends only. Can other people still see my profile, even if it shows 'no data' to them? Is there any other way to make it private? I don't want it to show in any searches nor in browsing. I want it to be strictly for the friends I already have on it. I can't keep track of my friends visiting my page if other people can still view it even if private.

    Unfortunately, you cannot completely delete a Yahoo! 360 account. It's linked to your primary Yahoo! ID. If you want to delete your Yahoo! ID, visit this link: https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user If you want to keep your Yahoo! ID for things like Mail, IM, Answers, etc. then you'll need to hide your 360. There are a few different ways to do this, 1) Select the "Settings" option at the upper right of your 360 page and change all of you settings to 'Private'. This hides the majority of your content, if someone stumbles onto your page. 2) Perform option #1 and then select the first "Display Me As" option on the Settings page. Now your profile doesn't link to your 360 page. Also, UNcheck the "Activate Simple URL" setting and the "Friend Search" setting. This way people cannot guess your 360 page by sticking your yahoo id onto the end of 360.yahoo.com or searching for you by name or email address. 3) Perform options #1 and #2 and then delete your friends by selecting the "My Friends" link in the upper right of your 360 page. Select "Edit Settings" on a friend's name, then select "Remove <friend> from your Friends Page". Finally, delete all of your content, blogs, links to pictures, lists, reviews, etc. This pretty much makes your 360 inaccessible and/or unusable by anyone who happens to get there.

You can't do more than you already did, but it won't keep other people from seeing your page (or what is visible of it) should they "stumble" upon it.

Here's the deal: Anyone in the world can always see your friends module, your background, and personal profile pics (left side of Top Page). You can't hide those areas. Everything else you can make for friends only or not visible. Make sure that under basic info settings your "Friends Search" is unchecked. However, you will be searchable by the 360 search page, even if you have a semi-private page. However, a person could only find you via a keyword search of your nickname, as all other information would be hidden. Plus, your nickname might not be unique, so there may be several people with the same nickname. Someone would have to really know what they were looking for and plus, once they find your 360, they could only see what I stated initially, if you set up your permissions for "Friends" (or in the case of Communications Settings invitations - "Friends of Friends" and Quick Comments shouldn't be enabled). Make sure to check how other people view your page by clicking on the drop down menu "Preview as seen by" at the top right of your 360 "My Page". Choose a permission group and click the "Go" button.

Why do you want to hide something from others? However you cannot hide the friends and the groups sections, the pictures from the top of the page, the comments section and the background of your page :)

Go to your settings and set to friends or private. Your settings let you control who can view and comment on your page. Privacy Settings let you control who can view the content you share on Yahoo! 360°. When creating or sharing any content, you have access to a Privacy Setting pull-down menu. Use this menu to decide who can view that content element. You can use the Preview Mode to view how others will see your page and ensure you've properly set your Privacy Settings. They will just see your page themes.But nothing else
