How Do I Connect My Ethernet Port To My XBOX 360 For Internet (10 Points)?

Im using a laptop and i want to connect my ethernet port to the xbox but when i click test network connection on the xbox it says failed im using windows xp on my laptop and dont know anything when it comes to internet on xbox. please tell me how to do it also can u download free games without live

You need to find the internet router in your house. It is very complicated to setup your laptop as an internet source. If you have internet from your cable company, then it should be a small electronic box connected to a thick black wire in the back that connects to the wall. If you already know all this, then sorry for going into so much detail ;p Anyway, you connect the ethernet cable to the router, not your laptop. As for free games you'll have to ask someone else.
