How can I find an automatic form filler on Yahoo?

Accused of violating the TOS on Y!Pulse - but I don't know why, or where to find the online help form!?

  • I use Yahoo Products, and have for a long time, I've been a member since 02/05/2005. I started with Mail, then with the Profile, then with Answers. Profile soon turned into Pulse, right around the time I was getting into Facebook, so I really didn't mess around with it that much. In fact, other than today, trying to figure out how I supposedly "violated the TOS", I can't recall the last time I visited Yahoo Pulse. However, I received an email from Yahoo in my secondary email stating the following: "It has come to our attention that you may have violated the TOS (http://www.yahoo.com/r/ts) on Yahoo! Pulse. Please reread the TOS and cease any use of your account that may violate the TOS. If your use of your Yahoo! account is brought to our attention again, and we believe that such use violates the TOS, then we may terminate your account without further notice. Please do not reply to this email. Any questions concerning Yahoo!'s Services should be submitted through the on-line form in the help area ( http://help.yahoo.com )." Hrm. Ok. This is the first time I've ever received something like this from Yahoo, and I'm a bit confused here, so I broke it down... "It has been brought to our attention" <--- By whom? And for what? "Please reread the TOS and cease any use of your account that may violate the TOS" <---- Ok, I reread the TOS, and still can't figure out HOW I may have violated the TOS. And how can I cease doing something if I haven't a clue what it is I've supposedly done? "Please do not reply to this email. Any questions concerning Yahoo!'s Services should be submitted through the on-line form in the help area ( http://help.yahoo.com )." <--- Yeah. I went to the help area. I could not find this online-form. Anybody know where it is? I don't like being accused of doing something without specifics - I mean, how are you supposed to either defend yourself or admit you were wrong and stop doing... whatever it is... It's a broad statement to say, "It's been brought to our attention..." ANYONE could have "brought it to their attention" - so why not give specifics? Tell me what I have supposedly done. Or at least put a LINK to the darned form in the help section so I can ask, instead of just a link to the Help Area, where this magical online form is said to reside.... Anyone? Please feel free to view my Yahoo Pulse, and let me know if you can figure out how it's violating the TOS, I'd greatly appreciate it! Oh, and if you know where the online form is to ask Yahoo - PLEASE let me know! I've found forms for General Questions, etc, but nothing for this specifically! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

  • Answer:

Lets deal with things one at a time. Guideline violations usually get a VN telling you what you did and where. TOS violations however do not, in fact I have known accounts deleted without warning. Main problem here is you cannot appeal because you have not been punished, only warned. I looked at your Pulse (The Yahoo One not your heartbeat) lol and cannot find anything which could be seen as a TOS vio.You could make your pulse private except for close friends to prevent some idiot trolling it but then you lose your custom avatar. Not much else I can say really except Good Luck.
