Who can view my Yahoo 360 blog page?
-
I want it to be available to the public, but it seems that when I try to view it from another computer, it isn't possible when that user isn't logged into their Yahoo account. For example, I tried to paste the link to my 360 blog to my fiance, who then entered it into his browser. A page asking him to log into his Yahoo account showed up. Then, once he logged in, he couldn't even see the blog, just my main 360 page w/ lists! Even still, the counter on my main page still says '0 page views'. I checked the settings on my blog, and the 360 page itself, to make sure everything is set to 'public'. I have even searched Yahoo web and 360 for my nickname, my real name, and my location, and have turned up nothing - even though 360 says you should be able to. Do users have to be a) logged in with a Yahoo account, and b) on my 'friend' list (or 'invited') to view my 360 blog? If so, I don't think I'll like the service very much. I wanted my page to be viewable by the general public.

Answer:
Do this, (example) http://360.yahoo.com/bitchin.bratty (but where my yahoo id is, put your yahoo id. If everything is set to public, everyone should be able to see your 360 page, including you. But, even if everything is set to public in the settings section, make sure that you have have clicked the public settings link, on the far bottom of the left hand side, when you bring up your yahoo 360 page.

I'm able to view your blog, but of course I'm logged in under Yahoo. I don't see why being logged in would affect the way someone views your page, as it is still public view. As for the counter, there's always been a problem with that. I'm told that eventually it will update all at once. For searching, I used your nickname and I wasn't able to find your page either. Do you have all your settings set to public or everyone on 360? Go to your settings page, then basic info, make sure the box is checked at the bottom that indicates friend search. Then go to communication settings and chage all those to what you wish (everyone on 360 or friends). Don't get rid of your 360 page. I like it, met some very nice people on there. Hope this helps.
