Why is it called the xbox 360?

  • Is it because it's so terrible your turn 360 degrees around and walk away?

  • Answer:

I think they meant the 360 to mean like " a whole new step in gaming". Although I agree they suck compared to the ps3 (in every way), if your turned 360 degrees you'd walk right into it lol. It need to be a xbox 180 for your logic.

I discoverd that "Microsoft" as name the xbox console its self,"Xbox" Because of their CPU / GPU groundment. When they were going to ground the heat sinks down, they figured out that using the"X-clamp" would give the heat sinks more grounding. NOW the "Xbox 360" takes its name for being the first world wide oline-gameing, connecting with other around the world and geting together for fun online game playing. So there you have it.

Personally, I believe that the xbox 360 is a decent system. I own all of the current generation consoles and the 360 is my favorite of them all. I think that microsoft just wanted to release their system before the other companies and therefore rushed production and design, resulting in poor construction and a dull-ish name. And also, if you turned 360 degrees you would walk into your xbox/tv/other consoles... you wouldn't walk away.
