How can I make my Xbox 360 play AAC (.m4a) files from my computer?

• The latest media update for the 360 is supposed to let it play AAC files. I have some unencrypted AAC files from the iTunes Plus store (.m4a, not .m4p) and I'm trying to figure out how to make my 360 play them, but no luck. I'm using Windows Media Player 11 on my PC to share files with the 360. I added my music and video libraries to WMP and I've gotten them to play on the 360 (even DivX .avi files, which are also newly supported by the latest update). WMP didn't recognize my .m4a files at first. I downloaded a plugin (http://wmptagext.sourceforge.net/) and then I was able to add them to WMP, and play them on my computer. Now I can see them on the 360 too, but when I try to play them, I just get an error saying they're the wrong type. Is this possible? A great answer will have step-by-step directions for sharing .m4a files and getting them to play on the Xbox 360, or if it's impossible, link to an official explanation of why it doesn't work.
