What's another site like autotrader.com?

What makes a good/interesting blog site? Whats a good site to make a blog with?

  • I am thinking about starting a blog, but want to know from others what interests you on a blog site? Also, what is a good site to use for making a blog? I want one where you can customize the layout, edit coding etc. so that I can have like different categories/ sub categories if thats possible?

    Popular, free blogging services: Blogspot/Blogger (http://blogger.com ),Wordpress (http://wordpress.com ) and Livejournal (http://livejournal.com ). Problogger.net polled its members regarding what blogging platforms that they use, and you can see the graphic here: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2006/01/18/blog-platforms-poll-results/ Some of the other hosted blogging services are probably free. I use Yahoo 360, which is a free social networking service that features a blog. Since you have a Yahoo ID, you probably can set up one for yourself. Your customization options are not as open as the other sites mentioned though. While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page. Click the "Yahoo! 360 Home" link on the upper right corner of the page to enter the space. A good blog to me: 1) Mainly, is one that is authentic. Your thoughts, your creative background, your interests - there's only one "you," so be expressive! I know, that's corny, but it's true. 2) Keep it updated. 3) Theme... is your blog a commentary on the latest news? Is it a diatribe about activities in your daily life? Is it only about your pet's quirks? A theme isn't necessary, but a purpose helps. Now, if you just want to write anything that comes to mind, well, try to make it sound like an interesting read. 4) A sense of fun - humor always helps.

Check out this new blog that I found that is really cool. It is completely new and made by a sports illustrated writer. He gives predictions and you can email him questions and everything. It is still growing but I bet this will be a really big site in a few months. I was one of the first to find it and I'm passing it on to everyone else.
