What does a private post on Tumblr mean?

Is there a way to private my MAIN blog on Tumblr?

I've had my blog for about 2 years now and it is getting to the point where a lot of people are seeing what I post and I don't want people to be creeping on my Tumblr page that has like +500 pages of posts. I want to be able to private it? Is there a way that I can? And I don't mean I want to make a new private blog, I'm saying that I want to private my main one. Is there a way I can private my main blog? I really want to but I'm not sure if I can..? HELP PLEASE!
Answer:

It's impossible to make your main blog private. You can create a secondary blog on that same account, and use that instead. That can be a private blog. However, you cannot follow people on secondary blogs. You can only get followers.
