How do I get my surround sound to work with my xbox 360?
-
I just purchased a new Xbox 360 and started using an hdmi jack from it to the tv in hopes it would work with my Philips Blu-ray surround sound system but it does not regardless of how many settings I mess with. I have no idea if its possible to get surround sound with just and hdmi cable hooked up to the tv from the Xbox and surround sound both.

Answer:
Here is a weird thing about the 360.... when i use an analog cable on my ps3 it looks like crap...so i use the hdmi, but with the 360 the analog looks the same or even better than the hdmi... not sure why. i have surround sound and never had a problem with it, as long as it works on the plain tv it works on everything else. try using an analog cable and see how it works. i know it sounds crazy with the hdmi available but just try it.
