How do I blog on Yahoo 360?

How to use Windows Live (blog) Writer to post on 360.yahoo.com?

  • I always use Windows Live Writer on Live Space, Wordpress and Blogger. But I do not know how to add yahoo blog of 360 in my Windows Live Writer. I cannot find API for 360. How to use Windows Live (blog) Writer to post on 360.yahoo.com?

  • Answer:

Well, the URL you should use, should start with http://blog.360.yahoo.com . Writer works with Really Simple Discoverability (RSD) (An XML format that makes it simple to set up editing or blogging software to use with blogging sites.) , the Metaweblog API (An XML-based application programming interface that allows other applications to interact with a blog site.) , the Atom Publishing Protocol (An application-level protocol for publishing and editing web resources.) , and the Movable Type API (An XML-based application programming interface that extends the Metaweblog API.) I don't think Yahoo 360 uses any of those protocols, but rather its own proprietary interface, which means that you probably can't use Windows Live Writer with it. Y!360 is transitioning to a new platform in early 2008, so you should probably wait until then to test this out. Perhaps better support will provided then, but they are no longer fixing bugs regarding Y!360. See the Y!360 team's blog at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 .
