How do i put a youtube video on my yahoo 360 blog?
-
ok I thought I did it right. but it isn't working! I wrote my blog, pushed 'View HTML Source', put in my video, the embed code and pushed preview and then post this blog it didn't work. Is there a different way to do it? I keep seeing a blank box the size of a youtube video on the blog, but not a video.

UPDATED: There is a sitewide problem involving flash-based objects in the blog (i.e. videos, photo slideshows, music players, and various other widgets). Re-installing the Flash player plug-in, using different browsers, or re-embedding the object has no effect. Yahoo has stopped fixing bugs in Yahoo! 360 starting in October 2007, so increased problems are the result. You can read more details of my initial conclusions (which match what others agree with) at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1202 . However, you can add some types of videos thanks to a couple of Y!360 users. - For old entries (prior to the end of September), note that if you click on the "Comment" link of the blog entry, the video, music players, and some photo slideshows appear correctly. Other flash-based objects will not appear in any view. - For new entries, no flash-based objects will appear in any view, with two exceptions so far. YouTube and Google videos will appear if you convert the embed code. 1) See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1255 for details on how to convert code for YouTube videos. 2) See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1270 for how to convert code for Google videos. 3) Another option is to create an account on myYearbook.com (http://myYearbook.com ), go to the video section of the site (also located in the bottom center of your profile page), search for the video (or upload the code for one), and use the converted embed code from that site in the "View HTML Source" version of your 360 blog entry. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1358 for details. If you don't want to convert the code or get new code via other third-party sites, then you can only provide links to videos (and other media) now where a URL is accepted, but not embed them. NOTE: The Y!360 team is no longer addressing bug reports, as it prepares to launch an universal profile system (UPS) in the 2nd half of 2008. This transition was announced in October 2007 and the UPS actually started in a rudimentary beta form on October 16, 2008. The Y!360 part of the system hasn't been transferred over fully yet. - See blogs at http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details. The 360 team blog is also accessible via the "Yahoo! 360 News" link in the upper right corner of your 360 space. You can post complaints on their blog, but don't expect a personal response. - See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=858 for more information on 360 glitches. - See the links in these blog entries for more details on Yahoo's overall direction and UPS: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1168 and http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-4D4zxsg6fLRvC60pERfR7.8c?p=1236 .

Cant you cut and paste the HTML source directly to the body of screen and then post. I believe this would work but I have been wrong before
Abstract
You did it right, but yahoo 360 has been acting up a lot lately, hence why the video won't post.
