Why did I get a violation for this question?

About a week ago I asked the question: BrownIE or BrownING points? because i wasnt sure which was the correct phraseology. I had 2 answers, and chose a best answer. THEN i received a violation. I appealed, and I asked why i received the violation. AFter some too-ing and fro-ing, they told me it was confidential. Can anyone explain why I received the violation for that question?

They are sticklers, that's all I have to say. That doesn't make any sense to me. I hope they aren't going to give me a violation for calling them sticklers though. Its brownie points by the way.

i got a violation for asking what a troll is. i appealed and heard nothing back. who knows why they do what they do. "THEY" must be out to get us.

That happened to me to! (except i dont know how to appeal) the question was on what subject should i write my essay on argentina. also, i promised 12 pts to best answer, and now i cant give it to all the people that helped me. :.( oh well, and this is a wake-up call Yahoo! Answers!

I think that is weird the reason you have the violation is that you probably broke one of the rules of conduct that yahoo answers set-ted up thanks!
