On the profile you know how it says how many questions and best answers you have, what do the stars mean???

Stars are a way for other member to rate your question. Basically, it means they like your question. The Star also makes your question eligable to be displayed in the Featured Question popup on the Answer Homepage.

Those are good question rates. You get picked like best answers.

People give stars to questions they find particularly interesting. Unlike "thumbs up" or "thumbs down," however, you can give a star then later take it back simply by clicking the star icon again. You get no extra points for stars.

The stars are to point out that you find a question interesting. Nobody gets points for stars.

If I were to click on the star symbol in the banner below the blue Answer bar, you would get a star to show that I thought your question was particularly interesting. I generally star questions when I am interested to see the answers people give, and especially when it is a question I cannot answer myself. When you star someone else's question, it appears on the page in your profile headed 'Starred Questions', so you can refer back to it easily at a later date. That's an useful facility when you have answered a lot of questions. Otherwise the ones you were interested in would be rather difficult to find again.
