What are the stars received in Yahoo answers?

What is 'stars received' ?

  • In yahoo! answers - my profile - activity summary, it has been mentioned as " stars received - 4", somebody tell me what is that ? Could I know, for what I have been given those 4 stars?

  • Answer:

    if somebody finds your question as interesting, he may click on the 'star' meant for that, upon which, you will be receiving a star. Star can be honored by any participant, let him be in the level 1 even. You can know for what you have been given such stars by the following steps : my profile - my questions - open up all the questions one by one, by puting the pointer to the 'star' (left hand top corner), you will be able to find who has found your question interesting ! How interesting ?

Stars are given if anyone finds your question interesting or if one gives it for you it promotes all the others to give one... They have no use actually but you can just see them in your profile..Ok I'll give one for you here..! All the Best!

Stars you received are from people that found your question interesting, you don't get points for stars but it's still nice to receive them!, to see who starred your question, click on your questions and you will see the stars on the questions you got the star(s) for, open up the question and hover over the star to see who gave it.

You can give a star by clicking on the interesting tab at the bottom of the question....if someone finds your question interesting they can give you a star...you can click on the tab to see who found your question interesting...there is no limit to the stars you can receive for an open question.
