Why do Yahoo Answers give violations for minor things, yet allow questions like this to be posted?

This was posted in the cricket section...Been reported many times and has been there for a good 16 hours. Do YA have double standards or do they just not care? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjfgYJjRepiPqNC.V0wzeXj7DH1G;_ylv=3?qid=20110215212722AAgEPYY

Answer:
I am 100 percent with you. I am questioning the same things myself. Some of the post here are clearly out of character and concerning Like this one. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ah1rf4dYnrIEQRwjKzsqIJzty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20110215214420AAZStNT I don't understand why they allow this garbage. Some of my answers 10 times more Innocent have been deleted because I had a question mark on my answer. I felt offended but, couldn't argue that my answer was in the form of a question. Im sorry but I have to share it. Here was the question and I believe it was from a 14 or 16 year old. Question: Will it hurt me to stretch out my hymen with my fingers. Some of it is still there and I want to know if I should do this or not. My Answer: Why would you want to do that? ( I was simply replying out of concern as a parent to a child) But, it got deleted and her question didn't. I lost points not that I really care but, they were punishing me. The I go to the question like the one I copied the link for you to look at and they allow this Nasty Molester type question to be asked and answered. And this guy gets points for it! I believe him and two others are in on his garbage or he has multiple accounts one. I don't know but, if it doesn't get cleaned up, I will probably stop participating in Yahoo's Answers.

You´re asking this about the people who, of all the provocative things they could have asked, used their "ask on the street" series to find out what people do to cover up their farts.
I agree with you.YA have a lot to answer for IMO.

The biggest problems are the YA users themselves. The YA staff rarely look for or remove anything. Most removals are based on user reports. So unless you and your friends are reporting such questions, they will not be removed. It may be that most users do not see a violation or a violation in "minor" things are easier to spot. YA is a community based violation system, so we have to be responsible.
