CAN I GET MY ACCOUNT BACK?

Which one of you had his account restored?How can I get mine back?

  • I got a suspension yesterday and my account got disabled. At that moment I was top contributor in a section, and I had almost 10.500 points and around 1900 answers , with 1/4 o fthem being BA. In my hurry, I wrote to Y!A team but they answered me in less of one day that my account can not be activated again. How can they check it in one day? I had (in the entire Y!A account "life") ,around 30-40 violations and about 8-10 of them was restored. I never post spam,I never insulted (excpet calling someone troll) ,never being racist,etc. the only "bad" think I did was to edit my answer, but I don't think that is something that should make me lose my account. I have helped the yahoo answers team in many cases of trolls and cloning... 1) Can I write one more mail about my account? 2) What do I have to point more for getting my account back? 3)For those who have appealed, how long does it take to have an answer or your account back? 4) did they answered you right away like they did to me ? Thank you for your help.

    A lot depends on circumstances. I was suspended on 2/13/08, but because of how my particular case was handled, I was able to invoke the "in error" clause and get it restored. It still took me 10 days (and only because I had an Error 999 that slowed me down; otherwise, I could have restored faster) i would certainly post your problem to The Forum, as dealing with the appeal staff is harsh, as they never really respond to your letters

Forget it. Only maybe 1 out of 10,000 people get their account restored. I lost my level 7 account with over 102,400 points in October 2007 and they ignored my appeals. I know people who have lost their account for no reason. My friend Ruby lost hers, we think, because someone else with an account named "Ruby" lost hers. My friend saw the other Ruby posting in the forums when she lost her account and it was about the same time as my friend lost hers. So you've helped the Yahoo Answers team and think that makes you special? I reported trolls, spammers and pedophiles but they still yanked my original account and deprived me of all those points. I was Top Contributor in THREE (3) sections and they blew me off. They didn't even reply to most of my emails. Don't expect to be treated better. Yahoo is not fair, there's no justice and I call it YaHELL.

I have lost three accounts and YAHOO just kept sending automated replies to everyone of my appeals and e-mails. All three accounts were level 5 or higher and I had multiple "top contributor'' badges. And that is worse than an insult. At Xmas and into the New Year the Aircraft Section was decimated by a TROLL and YAHOO just sat back and let it happen. Most of the contributors that were '''taken out''' were level 6 and 'top contributors in the section. Virtually every contact I had in the Aircraft Section is gone. And the biggest problem is that I know who the TROLL is. But if I publicly '''out''' him I will lose my account too. I have said this before; " Being on Q/A is like opening the gates of Disneyland and giving all the patrons a free admission. Then they issue everyone handguns and close the Security Office "
