How can a question removed without any violation notice ?

  • i asked a question. This is the question. '' Please congratulate Mr.Nandhi for floated a best question which is displayed by the yahoo ?''. i received 3 stars and 6 answers. i floated this question and gone on work to my native place and to my surprise this question was removed but no violation notice received. i did not deleted this question.

    may be this sort of questions highlighting a particular person is not allowed in YA do you remember your earlier similar question regarding bull was also deleted earlier?? i was also one of the answerers , and therefore tried to locate the question and ofcourse my answer the next day but could not find the same., edit: why i tried to refer back my answer because as an afterthought i have noticed that "the question" is not the best but" the answer" is best

Did you choose a Best Answer? If you did, and the Best Answer was removed as a violation, then the question would be removed as well. But because it was not your violation, you would get no notice. Just FYI, your 'question' is 'not a question', but a statement, and therefore might still have been removed as a violation. The violation notice might be delayed - or it might be going into your SPAM folder so you did not notice it.

Well it happens sometimes.. I recently asked a "have you ever" question,I received stars as well as answers.. Next day i see that my Q has got deleted & i received no Violation Notice until now.. And no i hadn't even chosen a BA! I really dont know why that happens.. :-\

if you remembered it wasnt a good question as you typed it then you can quickly delete it,dont delay.
