How do I fill in my Yahoo profile, and where?

Why don't people fill out the 'about me ' part of their profile? on Yahoo Answers?

  • dont you think it would be nice to know a bit about the people answering your questions? i read a really good answer to someone else's question the other week so i clicked on his avatar and i found out he was an english teacher, vietnam vet, and has taught english all over the world before settling in new mexico to teach. but alas most people dont even bother!

    Ive just updated mine. I'd like it to be compulsory for peoples ages to show. Sometimes there are questions about sex/relationships and I dont want to be saying the wrong sort of things to impressionable kids or teenagers. For example, someone asking about oral sex could be either a 13 year old, or a genuinely naive 25 year old. There is no way of knowing.

It's not a must do, it's your choice to fill that out or not. Some people wanna be private and others may not do it to protect themselves. Some people fill it out but, how do you know they are telling you the truth? You can't believe everything you read.

Sure it would be nice to fill them out but sometimes I just don't have the time to look at their profiles. Plus, you get some real jerks out there saying, "oooh, I did this too" or "I know where you live" and so on. I was getting way too many threats so I just eliminated and the problems went away. I will fill it out later on, though.

I don't really like to talk about myself too much so I've filled it in with what people have said about me on Answers. I'm quite pleased with it.

ty for another 2 point's. I don't fill mine out as they are a podium for a lot of crap about a cyber person. usually a fighter jet pilot with a degree in physic's and whatever the fashion of idolised looks is for the day. Though I would agree there are some real people out there.Somewhere.

I agree. I like to find out about the people who are interesting. I also wish more would allow contact through email. I'd like to tell some people just how cool they are! And I mean that nicely. I think Dragon, who answers only occasionally, should be given a level just for cool.
