Why was my picture/avatar deleted?

Why Was The Following Question Deleted By Yahoo?

  • The Yahoo Answers staff OBVIOUSLY do NOT red the questions they delete. Some jealous fool who does not get their answer picked as best answer reports the question as a violation, knowing that the Yahoo staff does NOT even read what they delete. So is this the way it is done? I, like any other jerk, can just report any ol random question as a violation and it will be deleted? I complained about them deleted my question, but I doubt they even read those complaints. I made sure to swear alot in that complaint because if my questions are going to be deleted, at least it should be for something other than some jealous fool who flags it. The following question was deleted by Yahoo answers: Deleted Question: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Avatar Game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Question Details: Look at the avatar above and below you. If you had to be stranded on a desert island with one of them for the rest of your life, which one would you choose based only on appearance... and why?

First, the Avatar Games have been outlawed. That has been posted on the Forum -- AND on this site, by Amy a STAFF member, at this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ap5lnB_Lh11JrNfmcCTSRkTsy6IX?qid=20070815130130AAClkEc&show=7#profile-info-spbO60ssaa That is why it was removed. Sorry. Also, it generally takes more than 1 report for things to be deleted. I know -- I've reported things that have never been deleted. Finally, appeals work best if they are done to the FORUM (link at top right) rather than by email.

Hate to break it to you, but the people at Yahoo answers delete a question based on whether anyone complained. It has nothing to do with content. They do not read the question they are deleting. The fact that one person complains is reason enough to delete it as far as they are concerned. The ones who are supposedly monitoring these answers are getting paid for doing nothing at all. They are incompetent at best. I wouldn't mind if yahoo answers went out of existence forever if it meant that the yahoo answers admins lost their jobs. I really mean that. It would be a fair trade off. Put that in your pipes and smoke it yahoo.

They probably consider that in the 'chat' realm and thus a violation. And they definitely don't delete every question reported, even those that ought to be...I've received "best answer" notices to questions I replied to, then reported for a violation.. *rolls eyes*
