Can I delete my Yahoo! Answers account? And if yes, how?

    You can't delete your YA account without deleting your entire Yahoo account. And even if you DID delete your entire Yahoo account, all your previous activity would still remain on the site. If you no longer want to use YA, you should hover over My Activity at the top of this page and click Edit My Preferences. Once you're on your edit page, blank out your avatar and name (change your name to a "?" or something like that), delete your about me, and click submit. Then, go back to the edit page and click the Privacy & Communications tab. From there, disallow e-mail and IM, disallow fans, and disable any emails from YA. Click submit at the bottom again. Now that you're on your Q&A profile, delete any open questions or answers and then remove all your contacts. Once you've done all that, you're virtually nonexistent on YA. From here, you can just leave.
