It's not about the number of Best Answers.. If u are able to maintain above a 10% Best Answer percentage within a specific category u will receive a Top Contributor badge. Here's a link for more info: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers/network/contributor.html

First, you have to have at least 75 answers. Second, In order to get the Top Contributor badge you must have 10% best answers in one category.

A high percentage of your answers have to be chosen. I would guess if you are an expert in a certain category then it might be a lot easier for your answers to be chosen and then you would become a TOP CONTRIBUTER.

Hello friend, You are doing very good at level 3 in less than three months with 19% best answers, but to become a top contributor, it depends on how many competetors you have, and you have to be ahead of them. It is a very long race. Good luck friend.

The top contributor badge is dynamic —you earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a particular category. The more actively you contribute, the more likely you will earn a badge. Just like featured users or category leaders, it's another way to feature community members who might otherwise be overlooked.

jjjjjjjj is correct. 10% of your answers in a particular category must be chosen as the best answer in order to be named a Top Contributor.

well put it this way..... you have to have no life, no friends, no family & have square eyes from staring at your computer all day.
