How can I get Google off my Yahoo home page?

Virus: I refresh Yahoo home page to update and still get new one. Deleted files many times. HELP. Try google?

• I have deleted cookies, internet files. I'm OK with a week or so "frozen" on last page used if that's what it takes to avoid new page, but surely must be a way to get at home what automatically comes up with older system at work. Or should I just swithc home pages and "come back to" yahoo?

  Sounds more like Spyware, not a virus. Many Antivirus programs do not remove spyware. Fortunately, there are some good free ones that will remove spyware. The spyware may have originated from a free appearing shareware or freeware program you downloaded from the Internet. Or may have been installed by a web site you visited. Very few ISP will block spyware or viruses for you. Even if they did, I would not rely totally on them to block all spyware and viruses. I have successfully removed spyware from numerous computers without reinstalling. First, download and install these programs. See the links below. Lavasoft Ad-Aware. Spybot Search and destroy, and Site Advisor. After you have installed Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware, update each of them over the internet. Restart your computer in safe mode, press F8 while rebooting before the operating system starts. Safe mode will prevent the spyware from starting and make it easier to remove. Run both Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware to remove the spyware. Don't try to run them both at the same time as they will conflict with each other. If there are multiple users using your PC, log on as each of them and run both spyware removers. Reboot normally and repeat the process of running the spyware removers. This should remove all of your spyware. Site advisor will put a button on your toolbar. It will warn you if you are entering a web site that can cause you problems. This may help prevent future infestations. Also, be careful installing shareware or freeware programs. Nothing is ever really free. They frequently have stings attached.
