How can I give the best answer in Yahoo answers?

Can Yahoo Answers give me points for a 2nd best answer?

  • Why are their no 2nd best answers? (It's the first place looser, but oh well, let's get some points!)

  • Answer:

    I guess technically not. that would mean that the Questioner chooses the second best answer as well. My Idea: May be we can let the users find one best answer and the Questioner find one best answer and give points for both.

Yes, you get two points. For some questions, you only get two people answer so you would get say 5 points even if your question didn't answer the question. On the other hand, there are times when you receive two really good answers where it might be appropriate to reward someone with five points. Having a peoples choice option might be another alternative.

If they gave points for second best answer, then people would ask for a third place, then a fourth, etc. People wouldn't be happy ever unless they could all get points for every question they answered...oh wait they do, you get two points just for answering!! There can only be one best answer, anything more would just leave the answerers asking for more.
