How do I enable yahoo! Answer Email communication?

How do I enable Yahoo Answers ...Email Communication I cannot email someone. Does anyone know how to do this?

• I just joined Yahoo Answers and I cannot reply to someones email. It tells me that "I have to enable Yahoo Answers" and "email communication". I looked everywhere on this site and cannot see anywhere to enable this.Can someone help me out on how to do this? Thank You. John

  Hover over My Activity at the top of this page and click Edit My Preferences. When you're on the edit page, click the Privacy & Communications tab. Scroll down to the area that says "The answers community can contact me via..." and check e-mail (or IM, whatever your preference, but it will have to be e-mail if you want to e-mail others). Click submit at the bottom when you're finished. Now, to e-mail other users, visit their profiles and click the "Email <User>" link. Not everyone has this feature enabled, and if they don't, there's no other way to contact them. Some people want total privacy.
