Yahoo Answers - what is the remedy to my answer?

  • This is a general question. Not to my particular answer. i am doing a service to the members by this question. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY AND THEN GIVE ANSWER. 1. There was a question in yahoo answers in some category. 2. i give answer using full of my knowledge. 3. some good members reports my answer. 4. i am receiving message from yahoo stating that my answer was reported by the Answer community. 5. i got sad since i know my answer was not against community guidelines and then i am appealing against the removal of my answer. 6. After one or two days my appeal was accepted by the yahoo. The yahoo informs me saying ''The Yahoo! Answers Team regrets that your answer was wrongfully reported by the Answers community. Your answer has been reposted to Yahoo! Answers, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.'' 7. i am happy since my answer has been reposted, but.....but....but... 8. In the meantime, the asker of the question finalised the question selecting one answer without seeing my answer since my answer has been removed by the yahoo on reporting by some people. 9. After the question finalised, my answer has been now reposted in the question and sitting silently. My asking now is this: If my answer was not removed, the asker would have read my answer also and even my answer will also be selected as '' best answer ''. Now, i lost the opportunity. WHAT IS THE REMEDY TO MY ANSWER NOW ?

    I have not found any redress for problems that you find on Yahoo! Answers. People make decisions outside of higher order morality, they follow simple rules. You have to regard Yahoo! Answers for what it is, a dumping ground. Some the the garbage is good and some of the garbage is extremely poor. There is not effort at accomplishing anything other than providing a vehicle for making money for someone. There is no profit in addressing your hurt feelings and you already have accomplished more than I did.

I don't think there is a remedy. Sometimes, you just get a bad break. Look on the bright side. Some people do look at resolved questions. Those people will still get to see your answer.

Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing you can do. It may not be fair but once resolved it's not possible to change it. Just a heads up on asking us to star it. I understand why you wanted to draw it to our attention but asking for stars is a solicitation violation and could get this question deleted. Good luck.

learned members browse answers that are good and they are least bothered about the best answer. at least you have won a battle by getting your answer reinstated. nothing importance is to be given.

There is no remedy. i lost many good answers and got back after appealing. For example i give you one answer of mine gone on reporting, but on appeal my answer was reposted. This is the question which was reported by the Answer community. Then i sent appeal to yahoo. The yahoo responded me. Hi Aparna M @ divya, Thank you for taking the time to submit an appeal. Upon review, we found the following answer was not in violation of the Answers Community Guidelines: "you please come with separate questions. If you ask at a stretch all the questions, no one will come forward to answer." The Yahoo! Answers Team regrets that your answer was wrongfully reported by the Answers community. Your answer has been reposted to Yahoo! Answers, and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thanks, Yahoo! Answers Team i find your case is different, but my answer was reposted before finalising the question which was letout to voting by the questioner and i got 4 votes but not succeeded.
