What happens if you use your yahoo answers points when you get to level 2?

  • I was wondering, when you use the yahoo points on level 2, do you go back to level 1? I am getting close to level 2 on yahoo answers but what happens when you use the points? I have 217 points now and I am almost at level 2. When I get 250 points and ask a question, do I lose the level 2 that I just earned?Also what is the special yahoo thank you when you reach level 2 or other levels?

    yes you do. YA levels are all about the points. 0-249 is level one no matter which direction you hit it from. You'll get the YA 'congratulations' email each time you hit a level threshold. Level 2 users can rate answers - that is Thumbs Up & Thumbs Down. After that the only difference between the levels is the daily limits for asking, voting, answering, etc :o)

Yes if you are on 250 points and then ask a question,you will fall back to level 1 again.. Level 2 points start at 250..

Yes, whenever you may lose points, when you reach a level, you can drop down a level, as for any other level you try to reach. You will get a email in your email inbox, from Y!A saying that you have reached level 2, and they congradulate you.

Yes you will go back to level one if you ask questions on level two and they bring your points to under 250. You get a congratulations e-mail for leveling up each time you level up
