How fast do people answer on Yahoo answers?

How to get more people to answer my questions on yahoo answers?

  • Every-time I ask a question I only get two or three people answering. I wish I could get opinions, and advice from more people! I look at questions from other people that were asked years ago and they have a lot more answers than I have seen recently. I know there is a lot of people in the yahoo answers community so whats going on? or is this just me? :P

    There's a lot of people on Y!A that are too lazy to answer a question that involves a long, drawn out answer or just answer questions for the points. So, if a lot of yours are like that, people who are just looking for questions that they can just type in one or two-word answers into are going to be repelled- which can be a good thing, frankly. Some things you could try: -extending the time. That gives people more time to answer and you'll probably get more. However, the longer you wait, the slower you'll get answers. Don't expect a flurry of answers right at the end. -adding more details. That tells people exactly what you're looking for. -reposting your question. New answers! But it'll cost you another 5 points... -offer an incentive. Say, "I'll pick a best answer, so 10 points to the most detailed!" or similar. Hope I helped!

Not just you, it's like that for me too! If you want a lot of people to answer you have to ask something obviously stupid, be a troll, or a religious topic.
