How can I instant message someone?

    no need to add any Id as deebiee told u, just log on yahoo messanger (if already loaded) to Click on Action then click on Send Instant Message or use Cntrl+M, a window will open with your friend list (if u have already) if u have no friends in your frn list Click on Other Contact- a window will appear with a Blacnk space, write ther Id (no need to write complete Id e.g: [email protected]). Then type your message and Send, If he/she is online will receive your message instantly other wise Offline

Download yahoo messenger from www.yahoo.com open your messenger add your friends id whom you want to message instantly. when both of you sign in - you both see each other online. then you message - by clicking the name of the person on your messenger. Wanna experience - give me your yahoo messenger id - i will add u and message u sometimes. :)

if u mean on answers jus click on that lil smiley, on messenger, u need to dl messenger and then add contacts using that +smiley symbol and then typing in the Yahoo id of the person to be added. In case the person is not on ur list, then u can jus clikc on the IM icon and then, type in the ID on the second tab...
