How can you get a violation asking a clear question & they say neither a question nor answer?

I agree that it is not a question. There is no possible answer. ✩

Don't waste your time trying to figure it out ... I had a question deleted "what song would you like someone to sing to you" and I chose "love me tender by Elvis" as best answer... they told me the best answer was in violation but wouldn't say why..... I have given up trying to understand it all

It obviously violates the guidelines but not as much as some other statements that get through. You always get jobsworths and frustrated would-be state executioners who love to have a chance of putting someone down. You've just got to grin and bear it. After all, you can still laugh, unlike the misery guts that patrol YA.

My suggestion to you is: If you really want to ask ridiculous questions, make them a little more funnier. You obviously irked someone at Y!A ... either that or they did not "get" your joke! :)

They make the rules as they go I guess..like one other of your answers said just grin and bear it. I hate that you got the 6 and 6 together got canned. I think that was uncalled for..You only asked it outta fun.. what's the big deal? You have to ask in a question form.. that's all I know. Sorry sweets.

I answered the same question for someone else last week, the week before I got the same violation myself. If you can figure it out, you're smarter than I am my friend. I'm gonna cut it off at that, don't want to get too "chatty!"

i got a violation on the last answer i gave you. (the one about someone asking questions to get to know you) they said it wasn't an answer. i don't know how they figured that since i gave you 3 choices of how to figure it out.
