Yahoo Widgets 4: Where has the heads-up-only display settings gone?

I can NOT get my uploaded profile picture to display on the Yahoo Answers site.?

  • I have followed all suggestions posted. I have uploaded a picture and it shows in the box when I click on "View My Profile", but when I go to my page or post answers/ask questions only the little happy face shows up. There is a link to the right that says "View My Profile" then underneath that it says "Hidden". I have gone to settings, clicked the drop downs so that ALL can see. I have also gone to the settings, clicked on "Hide Profile" said yes go ahead and do it, then gone back and said "Unhide". Argh..I see other people's pictures displaying but mine will not. Any more suggestions?

  • Answer:

HOW DO I USE A CUSTOM PICTURE ON Y!A INSTEAD OF A YAHOO AVATAR? If you want your custom Yahoo profile photo to show on Yahoo Answers you need to click My Profile in the upper right on the green border. Then click Edit My Info in the middle column to go to the Edit My Profile page. In the picture section tick "Use my profile image." Hopefully your regular yahoo profile photo will be showing there. Then click the blue preview button and then OK. First you would have to upload that custom picture to your regular Yahoo! Profile. It has to be a jpeg or png and less than 5 MB. Here are specific instructions on how to do that: Read this tutorial to learn how to change your Yahoo! Profile photo: http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/prof/prof/prof_photo1.html
