In your opinion, which is the best livable town/city in Germany?

Your personal opinion on Germany- Please only answer if you've actually been there.?

• Hi, I'm a junior in high school & going to be applying to colleges next year. One of my places is in Germany. Do Youuu personally have a specific place you have & why? & If you had to pick between Munich, Belin, Or Dusseldorf, which one would youuuuu choose? :3 Thanks for any answers. P.S. Is it hard to learn German, because I don't know any but my dad says that if I live there I will pick it up quickly.

  Learning German can be a bit hard, as they use an inverted sentence structure (verb at the end of everything) and their nouns have gender! So a sentence like "I want to eat a sandwich" comes out more like "I want a sandwich eating" (ich möchte ein Sandwich essen). But you will get used to it and pick up some basics pretty quickly with 'total immersion' learning. Munich is prettier, but Berlin has a lot more recent historical relevance, if that matters. Being in the middle of an area that was still Communist not that long ago offers a great contrast in what happens when a society and culture is 'shackled' for so many years and unable to progress properly. The boom in just the past decade will be startling against the areas that have NOT progressed much at all since WWII and some of the smaller villages around Berlin should reflect that.
